Sarah had gone with her parents to the Wichita Agency in the Indiana Territories under the charge of the Friends Church.    She was a seamstress and a teacher.    In the Indiana Territories (now Oklahoma), she met William Jasper Hinshaw, who was also a school teacher.l    They taught school to the Indians at a Quaker mission school at Anadarko, Oklahoma.d    After they were married they returned to Kansas.l
