On Jun 5 1917 Charles Henshaw, age 30, registered for the World War I draft in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.  He declared he was born January 12 1887 in Chester, Pennsylvania, and was then residing at 111 Reaney, Chester Pennsylvania, employed as a laborer.  He declared he was married, with dependent wife and 1 child.  He was recorded as tall, slender, brown hair, brown eyes, and "not disabled".12

Charles Jackson Henshaw died May 19 1964, age 75.10,11  

Charles' obituary was published in the "Delaware County Daily Times" on May 11, 1964 (page 30):10

HENSHAW -- on May 19, 1964
Charles J. husband of Ethel Dicks Henshaw of 729 Pennsylvania Ave., Garden City, age 75 years.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services Friday afternoon 2 o'clock at the Melvin I Minshall Funeral Home, Middletown and Knowlton Rds.  Friends may call Thursday evening.  Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery.

Ethel died Sep - 1982.11
