Bob's obituary was published as follows:2
Robert "Bob" Lee Henshaw, age 67, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on May 18, 2010 at the Cushing Regional Hospital. Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with Reverend Roger White officiating. Interment will follow at Shamrock Cemetery. Bob was born November 30, 1942 in Okemah, OK to Theodore Edward and Nova Bell (Werther) Henshaw. He grew up in the Drumright and Yale areas and eventually moved to Cushing in 1976. Bob had worked for the Cushing Rail Car company and for Stewart Stone, retiring in 2006. Following his retirement he began operating his own business, Bob’s Dump Truck Service, out of Cushing.
Bob is survived by his four children, Robert Henshaw, Jr. and his wife Terri of Cushing, Carla Esquivel and her husband Ernesto of Rock Springs, WY, Theresa Franklin and her husband Mike of Terre Haute, IN, and John Henshaw of Cushing; one brother, Ted Henshaw of Tulsa; five sisters, Norma England of Jay, OK, Margie Beck of Colcord, OK, Helen Shaw of Drumright, Virginia Schiller and her husband Edgar of Milfay, OK, and Brenda Crane and her husband John of Cushing; two half sisters, Carol and Vickie; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gwen (Gore) Henshaw; two brothers, Melbourne Henshaw and Billy Henshaw; one sister, Mary Crabtree; and one grandson, Coleman Henshaw.
