Sarah's last name is currently uncertain.
Born about 17961 [about 17932], Tennessee1.
There has been some speculation that Sarah might have been a Hinshaw, based on the following: On Apr 4 1828 in Overton County, Tennessee, Zebedee Jones purchased some land from a George W. Sevier for $75. The purchase was paid for by Jacob Hinshaw.3 Why Jacob Hinshaw would have paid for this transaction is unclear, but it has led to speculation that Jacob might have been closely related to Sarah. However Jacob Hinshaw would have been much too young at the time Sarah was born to have been her father, and it appears unlikely that he was her uncle. The exact reason why Jacob paid for the land transaction is unknown, and any blood relationship to Sarah is uncertain.
She married Zebedee Jones.4 Zebedee, son of Isaac Jones, Jr. & Rachel Osborn, was born Mar 2 1803, Overton County, Tennessee.3,4,5,6,7
