Donald R. Presley CARBONDALE - Donald R. Presley, 77, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, at his home in Carbondale.   Donald was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Makanda to Wayman and Tressie (Rowan) Presley.   Mr. Presley served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.   Upon returning to Southern Illinois, he joined the family business, Presley Tours Inc., in Makanda, where he had served as a co-owner and president.  On Dec. 24, 1972, he married Priscilla Ann Henshaw in Carbondale.  She preceded him in death Dec. 12, 1999.   He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clyde and Robert; and one sister, Myrna Lewis.   He is survived by only son, D.W. Presley; his son's fiancee, Jennifer G. Gilbert, both of Carbondale; and a close family friend, Susan Bily and her children, Andrew, Erin and Megan Priscilla, of Carbondale; as well as many nieces and nephews.   Don was a life member of Makanda Masonic Lodge 434, where he had been a past master.  He was a 50-year member of the fraternity.  He was a member of the Murphysboro Elks, Carbondale Eagles Lodge, life member of the Anna VFW Post 3455, Paul Stout American Legion Post 127 in Murphysboro and the Southern Illinois University Alumni Association.   Graveside services with Masonic rites and military services will be at noon Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion, with the Rev. John Annable officiating.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale.   Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to Friends of the Cross, P.O. Box 81, Alto Pass, IL 62905 to benefit the restoration of Bald Knob Cross.
