Note: According to some Crawford family folklore, son Robert Speaks Crawford was not Eliza's son, but rather the son of Henry's second wife, Catharine Denson.12  The Denson family records also name Robert as a Catharine's son.12  Eliza reportedly was sick for a long time before her death and Catharine nursed her during her illness,12 so it is plausible.  But it also might simply be a case of Catharine never making as distinction between her stepchildren and her own children.  Robert is shown here as a child of Eliza since she did not die for two and one half years after his birth, and we know her final illness was of year-long duration.7

Also buried in Green Cemetery are Sarah (Burk) Hinshaw and Joseph Jefferson Hinshaw,1 who might be closely related.20

It is unknown how Nathan Hinshaw #12020 was related to Eliza, but it seems likely they were probably siblings.20

Speculation: Eliza might have been a daughter of William Hinshaw & Jane Hamm, whose sons William and Thomas settled in Jackson County, Alabama.  Son William was married in Franklin County, Tennessee in 1844.  Eliza, and also Nathan, were possibly additional childen of William Hinshaw & Jane Hamm.20
