Curtis Tilman (C.T.) Hinshaw Jr. Curtis Tilman Hinshaw, Jr. (C.T.) of Texarkana, AR died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Christus St. Michael hospital in Texarkana, TX. He was 77 years old. C.T. was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Hinshaw.
A loving and committed father, C.T. is survived by his children; Susan Phillips of Texarkana, AR, Curtis T. Hinshaw III and his wife Lisa of Longview, TX, Nancy Hairell and her husband Ryan of Houston, TX, Bill Hinshaw and his wife Kristi of Dallas, TX; and brother Elton Hinshaw and his wife Jane of Nashville, TN. Known to his family as "Papaw and Boppy", C.T. had eight wonderful grandchildren; Kallie Phillips, Nick and Hailey Hinshaw, R.J. and Ashton Hairell, and Meredith, Audrey, and Hannah Hinshaw.
C.T. was a long time member of Downtown First Baptist Church and served as a deacon, headed various church committees, and was respected as a friend and faithful Christian. He will be best remembered for his quick wit, his dedication to his family and friends, and his unfailing generosity. C.T. was a wonderful man.
Memorials can be made to Downtown First Baptist Church or the Samaritan's Purse Ministry.
Family will receive friends Thursday evening, July 22, 2010 at East Funeral Home, Downtown from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Downtown First Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Gibbons officiating..
