He married Margaret Hadley, Mar 1 1783.2,3  Margaret, daughter of Simon Hadley & Bridget Foote, was born Apr 23 1764, Deep River MM, Guilford County, North Carolina.2  (Apr 15 1764).3  

At Cane Creek MM on 3-1-1783, John Martin was disowned for his marriage "out-of-unity".4  

John Martin died Mar 24 1836.2  

Margaret died May 24 1846, Surry (now Yadkin) County, North Carolina; buried Deep Creek MM, Surry (now Yadkin) County, North Carolina.2
