Born about 1530, Great Carleton, Lancashire, England.2
He married - Carleton.1 Evan married the daughter of "Carleton of Great Carleton in Com Palatine of Lancaster. Sed qy and one of his 4 coheirs - by birth the eldest."1
Evan Houghton died Jan 20 1608.1 "Died at Knowsley, 20 Jan. (1608) 5 Jac: I. Writ dat. 2 Dec. 6 Jac: I. 1609."1
Note that the comment in Joshua Henshaw's pedigree "Escheat 2d May, (1610)"1 seems to indicate that some or all of Evan's properies were reverted to (or confiscated by) the crown after he died.
