Mary died Aug 25 1927, Clay County, West Virginia; buried Hively Cemetery, off Rt. 36 two miles south of Wallback, Clay County, West Virginia.2,13,17

Note that Mary's death date conflicts with the 1930 census above - it seems possible that a gravestone or handwritten record transcription error has occured - her death might have been 1937, not 1927.  However family members remember her death at about 1927,7 although no death record for her has been found in West Virginia's death records.23  Her appearance in the 1930 census above is puzzling.

In 1936 Jacob was living in Valley Fork, Clay County, West Virginia.24

In 1944 Jacob was still living in Valley Fork, Clay County, West Virginia.5
