Terry.¹⁰ Roxie, daughter of Jesse M. + Martha Thompson^1,2,11, was born Mar - 1881^1,2,11 [Mar 26 1882⁴], North Carolina^1,2,11. Roxie was the sister of Joseph C. Thompson¹¹ who married Osmond's sister Margaret.

Osborn and family were shown in the 1910 census (Apr 27 1910), living with his parents in Albright Township, Chatham County, North Carolina:¹

On Sep 12 [1918] Osmond Dewitte Hinshaw, age 41, registered for the World War I draft in Chatham County, North Carolina. He declared he was born March 18 1877, and then resided in Siler City, Chatham County, North Carolina where he was a farmer. He declared his nearest relative was Roxie Hinshaw of Siler City. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, brown eyes, dark gray hair.⁵

Osborn and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 22 1920), Albright Township, Chatham County, North Carolina:²

Osmond Dewitte Hinshaw died Feb 6 1920, Chatham County, North Carolina; age 42.^4,6,9 Osborn and his four children all died within a few days in the flu epidemic of 1920.⁴

After Osborn died, Roxie remarried to Alston Jones, Oct 21 1923, Chatham County, North Carolina.^4,10
