Margaret K. "Kay" (Hinshaw) Murray, 66, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in Fond du Lac, Wis., where she had resided for the last several months with her daughter. Kay was born Nov. 8, 1941, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Jerry and Zada Hinshaw. Kay attended Arlington schools and graduated from Hutchinson Community College in 1961. She was employed as a secretary for many years and also worked at Furr's in Hutchinson. Kay resided in Kingman for 14 years and also Hutchinson and Arlington. She enjoyed her time as a member of the State Fair Promenaders. Kay was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson and had enjoyed activities with the singles group there. She also loved to reminisce about her time spent living and traveling in Japan. Kay is survived by her two children, Kim Hearne and husband Daryl, Fond du Lac, Wis., and Tim Murray and wife Terri, Hutchinson, six grandchildren, Derek, Kaycee, Savannah, Jake, Cody and Sheriff, and a sister, JerryAnn Krause and husband Ron and a nephew Jimmie Downum, St. Louis, Mo.
Preceding Kay in death are her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, with the Rev. Jim Rhaesa presiding. Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, in care of the funeral home.
