BURLINGTON
Mrs. Mary Hinshaw Loy, 88, of 3861 Dr. Pickett Rd., died Saturday, May 11, 1996, at Alamance Regional Medical Center following two weeks of critical illness. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joyce Taipale, Pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Rev. Alvin Horne, Pastor of Friendship United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born in Alamance County to the late Charlie Allen Hinshaw and Dora Faulkner Hinshaw, she was the wife of the late Eugene Baker Loy, Sr. Mrs. Loy was retired from Standard Hosiery Mill and Kayser-Roth, Inc. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was also a member of the St. Paul's Morning Circle. She is survived by her sons, Eugene B. Loy, Jr., Charles Loy, and Billie M. Loy all of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her sisters, Ollie Hinshaw Watkins and Clara Hinshaw; brothers, Charlie Allen Hinshaw, Jr. and two infant brothers. The family will be at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6-8 p.m. tonight. At other times, they will be at the residence of a son, Billy M. Loy, 3861 Dr. Pickett Rd., Burlington. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 2719 Bellemont-Alamance Rd., Burlington, N.C. 27215.
