It appears that Homer and Lula divorced or separated.14  Lula remarried to Newman Hutchens, Oct 18 1915, Hamilton County, Indiana.13,15,16  Lula then remarried to Gilbert Engle, Oct 15 1917, Vigo County, Indiana.3,16,17  

He then married Jennie Mallery, Apr 30 1917, Hamilton County, Indiana.1,2,18  Jennie was born about 1899, Indiana.9  Note that Homer's sister Ruby Ann married Russell Ensigne Mallery.1
