As of 1982, Kenneth was living in retirement in the Pine Forest community northwest of Goldendale, Washington, on the farm developed by his maternal grandfather, Peter Gunn.⁷

Kenneth Elmer Gunn Hinshaw died Jun 19 1990, Riverside County, California; buried Mt. View Cemetery, Goldendale, Klickitat County, Washington.^1,3,4

Kenneth's obituary was published in "The Goldendale Sentinel" (Goldendale, Washington) on June 28, 1990.³
