Born Dec 9 1822, Baltimore, Maryland.3,5,6  Christened Jan 26 1823, Saint Peters Protestant Episcopal, Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland.7  

Daniel attended the schools of Baltimore until 1838; St. Paul's college, College Point, N.Y., 1838-41, and was graduated from Yale, A.B. 1842, A.M. 1845, and from the Virginia Theological seminary in 1845.  The honorary degree of S.T.D. was conferred upon him by Griswold college in 1881.5  

He was admitted to deacon's orders in June, 1845, and was ordained priest in December, 1847, by Bishop Henshaw (his father).  He spent the years 1847-49 in Rhode Island and Maryland; was rector of St. Paul's (Old Narragansett) church, Wickford, R.I., 1849-53; and was rector of St. Andrew's church, afterward All Saints' Memorial, Providence, R.I., 1854-98.  In 1898 he became rector emeritus.5  

He was a member of the triennial general convention of the Protestant Episcopal church, attending every session from 1856 to 1896, and a member of the standing committee of the diocese of Rhode Island, and president of the same for many years.5  

He married Rebecca Pitman5 [Rebecca Greene], Oct 16 18625.  Rebecca, daughter of Joseph Warren Greene & Abby Frances Shaw, was born 1830, Rhode Island.3,5,6

Rev. Daniel Henshaw is shown in 1890-1892 directories of Providence, Rhode Island.  He is shown as rector of All Saints Memorial Church.8  

Daniel Henshaw died Dec 10 1908, Rhode Island; age 86.4,6  

Rebecca died Jul 5 1919, Rhode Island; age 88.4,6  

On Jan 3 1901, at Providence, Rhode Island, Daniel signed a sworn affidavit affirming the following family information taken from the family bible of his grandfather, Daniel Henshaw:9

My father, Benjamin Henshaw, was born Jan. 12, 1729-30; died 2d August 1793.  
Benjamin Henshaw and Elizabeth Lord were married by Rev. V. Russell - His wife died 8th Jan. 1761.  Their first son, Benjamin, was born 27 March 1754.  Their daughter, Elizabeth Henshaw, was born 5th July 1755.  
Benjamin Henshaw was married to Huldah Sumner, by Rev. Mr. Lockwood.  Their first son, Daniel, was born 26 March 1762 -- (Died May 4th 1825).  
Daniel Henshaw was born 26 March 1762, Friday morning, half past 7 o'clock.  (Died May 4th 1825, Wednesday, Twenty minutes past 11 o'clock A.M.).  
Daniel Henshaw and Sally Prentis were married by the Rev. Henry Channing at New London, Friday, 11 o'clock, P.M., April 18th, 1788.  
I certify that the foregoing is a true copy from the family record in the family Bible of my grandfather.
