Mary Ann's obituary was published in the "Madison News" (Madison, Virginia) on July 4, 2013:2

Mary Ann McGuire, 64, of Haywood, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.  Born on October 27, 1948, in Madison, she was the daughter of the late James H. Henshaw and Lola Marie Carpenter Henshaw.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Henshaw and Roland Thomas Henshaw.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and dads best friend who enjoyed life and spending time with the grandkids.  She was also a aviate genealogists, member of the DAR, DOC and Colonial Dames.  She is survived by her husband, Charles C. McGuire; two sons, Charles C. McGuire II, and Thomas McGuire and wife, Robin; four brothers, James Henshaw II, John Henshaw and wife, Jill, George Henshaw and wife, Lois, and Gori Henshaw; one sister, Frances Smoot and husband, Everette; three grandchildren, Sydney McGuire, Pierce McGuire and Trevor McGuire.  Funeral service was held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Novum Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jeff Light with the interment in the church cemetery.  The family received friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the Preddy Funeral Home in Madison.
