Born Apr 13 1853, Randolph County, North Carolina.2,3,4,5  

He married Missouri Frances Robey2,5,6,7 [Missouri F. Nelson3,4], Oct 10 18862,5,6,7, Hamilton County, Indiana2,5,6,7.  Married by John W. Crews, minister.6  Missouri, daughter of Thomas Leonard Robey & Nancy Jane Elston, was born Dec 25 1862, Indiana.2,8  She was known within the family as "Souri".9  

Daniel lived in Boone and Randolph Counties, Indiana.4  

In a story Dec 27 1889 in the "Zionsville Times" (Boone County, Indiana) "Mr. Hinshaw & wife" were in attendance at a dinner for TL and Nancy Robey [Missouri's parents] at the Robey home on Christmas Day, 1889, which was "given by their children".9  

Daniel Hatch Hinshaw died Jan 13 1901, Zionsville, Boone County, Indiana; buried Eagle Creek Cemetery, Eagletown, Hamilton County, Indiana.2,10  

After Daniel died, Missouri remarried to her widowed brother-in-law, H.H. Avery, on Jan 19 1910 in Boone County, Indiana (by Benjamin Smith, minister).9,11,12  She helped raise her sister's sons.9  

Missouri died Mar 27 1917, buried Eagle Creek Cemetery, Eagletown, Hamilton County, Indiana.2
