He married Nannie Bell Snodgrass, Jan 8 1867.1,2,3,4  Nannie, daughter of William Tyler Snodgrass & Arabella Ellen Tabb, was born 1846.3,4  Nannie was William's first cousin -1 Nannie's father, William Tyler Snodgrass, was the brother of William's mother, Susan Rawlings Snodgrass.4  

William and Nannie lived in Fairmount, West Virginia.3  

William Snodgrass Henshaw died 1886.1
