After attending various California schools, Jim graduated in the first graduating class of 1955 from the J.F. Kennedy High School in Barstow, where he was a battalion executive officer and a Major in the California Cadet Corps.¹⁶⁶

He married Carrie Louise Ruggerello, Jun 12 1972, Fresno, California.¹⁶⁶    Carrie, daughter of Joseph + Georgia Ruggerello.¹⁶⁶

Jim and Carrie currently (1998) live in Taft, California.¹⁶⁶
