James Robert Sandy, 90, of 658 Hudson, retired derrick operator for Nickey Bros., Inc., died yesterday afternoon at his home. He was a member of New Allen Road Baptist Church. Cosmopolitan Funeral Home has charge. He leaves three sons, Andrew Sandy of Rosemead, Calif., and Johnny Sandy and Arthur Sandy, both of Memphis; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Wallace and Mrs. Hazel Baldwin, both of Memphis; a brother, Dave Sandy of Searcy, Ark.; a half-brother Fred Cannon of Memphis, 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
