William Hinshaw died 1923, buried Bostick Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Jackson County, Alabama.1,2,3
William is buried next to Lashion M. Hinshaw & Polly D. Metcalf,3 and some have speculated that he was their son.3 However they already had another son named William Walter, as well as a son William T.. This William was not shown with the Lashion M. Hinshaw & Polly D. Metcalf household in the 1900 census, when he would have been about 5 years old. So his parents remain uncertain.
