She married John Hightower, Oct 15 1865, Jefferson County, Tennessee.1,3  John was born 1836.1  

An undated list of members of Lost Creek MM includes Sarah (Hinchey) Hightower, brother Joseph Hinchey (disowned) and his wife Sarah, sister-in-law Nancy J. Hinchey and her son Larkin Elzin Hinchey.1  

Sarah and family (with her mother, but interestingly without her husband) were shown in the 1870 census (Jul 12 1870), Jefferson County, Tennessee:4

Hinchey, Rebecca, age 64, born in North Carolina; keeping house.
Hightower, Sarah E., age 35 [or 38 - unclear], born in North Carolina; $300 real estate; cannot read or write.
Hightower, Rebecca A., age 13, born in Tennessee; attended school.
Hightower, Joseph A., age 4, born in Tennessee.
Hightower, John A., age 2, born in Tennessee.
Living next door in 1870 was the family of son James.5  

John died 1880.1  

Widow Sarah and family were shown in the 1880 census (Jun 7 1880), Jefferson County, Tennessee:6

Hightower, Sarah, age 45, born in North Carolina; parents born in North Carolina; widow; keeping house.
Hightower, Joseph, son, age 15, born in Tennessee; parents born in North Carolina; farm laborer.
Hightower, John, son, age 11, born in Tennessee; parents born in North Carolina.
Living next door in 1880 was the family of brother Henry.7
