A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Danny Wood officiating.
Surviving are her husband, Steve Shilling of Sherman; mother, Francis and husband, Harold Seibel of Donna, Texas; son, Phillip Weightman of Sherman; daughters, Sara Taylor, Alice Wilson and Debbie Wade, all of Sherman; sister, Elizabeth Olson of Florida; brother, Charles Hinshaw of Minneapolis; and seven grandchildren.
Bratcher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Betty 'Bessie' Shilling SHERMAN -- Betty "Bessie" Louise Shilling of Sherman, Texas passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Sherman Healthcare Center.
Betty was born on January 26, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to George and Frances Hinshaw. She was the eldest of four children who included brothers, Robert, Charles Hinshaw and sister, Elizabeth Hinshaw Olson.
Betty left Iowa and moved to McKinney, Texas right after high school. She was married to Alton C. Weightman of Denison from 1964-1969. She married Steve G. Shilling of Sherman in 1973 and raised four children during their 13-year marriage.
Betty received her associates degree in computer science from Grayson County College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She also attended Austin College in Sherman while working on a bachelor’s degree.
Betty worked as a cake decorator, sewing machine operator and finally as a line technician in the wafer fab department of Texas Instruments in Sherman. She retired from T.I. after 19 years of service.
Her favorite times were spent with her seven grandchildren. She loved to take them to the playgrounds and out for breakfast or an ice cream. Betty also was a wonderful cook and loved to share meals with friends and family.
Betty is survived by her friend and former husband, Steve G. Shilling of Sherman; children, Alice and Ken Wilson, Phillip and Janet Weightman, Debbie and Curtis Wade and Sara and Monty Taylor; grandchildren, Andrew and Bryan Wilson, Katherine Weightman, Zachary and Alexandra Wade, Manda and Coby Taylor, all of Sherman. She is also survived by her mother, Frances Hinshaw Seibel of Donna, Texas; siblings, Elizabeth and Joel Olson of Florida and Charles Hinshaw of Minnesota. She was predeceased by brother, Robert Hinshaw and father, George Hinshaw.
A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007 in the Chapel on the Hill at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman with Rev. Danny Wood officiating. Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Sherman Fire Department in honor of the years of love, kindness and dedication they showed transporting Betty to and from dialysis three days a week. Other memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org
The family would like to thank the Sherman Fire Department as well as Dr. David Reynolds for your loving care of our mother during her last years.
Betty will be remembered for her never ending love, generous giving and selfless spirit.
