Elinore's obituary was published in the "Los Angeles Times" (Los Angeles, California)19 and in "The Press-Courier" (Oxnard, California)21 on Tuesday, August 9, 1977 (see scans below).

In 1985 Ransom was living in Rogue Valley Manor, a retirement center near Medford, Jackson County, Oregon.22 (he had apparently been previously living in/near Los Angeles, California).22
