Bill was a division engineer with the General Telephone Co. in Indiana.1 During World War II he served in the U.S. Army, a private stationed in Ireland, England, and Scotland. Later he took part in the Allied invasions of Africa and Italy.

Bill went on to work for several government agencies as an electronical engineer with National Scientic Laboratories and, later, GEEIA in Europe. He lived and worked in Korea, Germany, Turkey and numerous countries in North Africa.13
Bill and Jean were divorced. Bill then married twice more, the last wife named Betty. Finally about 1990, he married for the fourth time, remarrying his first wife, Jean.1
William Raymond Hinshaw died Apr 19 1991, Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida; buried Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville, Madison County, Indiana.1,4,5,13 Medical: Bill died from cancer.1
In 1999 Jean was living in St. Cloud, Osceola County, Florida.4,14
