After completing the eleventh grade, with much tutoring help from his mother Margaret, Dean dropped out of school. He left home and drifted about the country, holding numerous part-time jobs. Eventually he lost all contact with his family and whatever became of him is unknown.4
He married Rita Escalona, Dec 2 1969.1
Dean and Rita were divorced after about two years of marriage. Their son Dean was put up for adoption in 1971 and adopted by the Zipperer family of San Diego, California in 1972.1
Dean's family has not heard from him since the mid 1980s.1
