He declared his nearest relative was Dr. F.A. Henshaw of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was recorded as tall, brown eyes, dark hair. He claimed an exemption because "was discharged from army account of rupture etc."⁵

In 1931 David was admitted to the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Leavenworth, Kansas.¹²

He married Birdie Inez Snow, Feb 19 1934, Sebastian County, Arkansas.^1,13,14 Birdie, daughter of George Snow & Sarah Eugenia Thomas, was born Apr 14 1908, Tuttle, Grady County, Oklahoma.^{1,7,8,15,16,17}

David Guy Henshaw died Mar 17 1965, buried section 10 block 6 row 4 plot 41, Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.^6,8
