Living next door in 1860 was the family of Jesse's brother Nathan.19  

On Sep 18 1863 Jesse Hinshaw enlisted at Pleasant Hill, Missouri as a private in Company I, 77th Regiment (Captain Allen), Missouri Militia (Union).  He was discharged Nov 18 1864, having served 285 days.7

Jesse M. Hinshaw died Apr 4 1873, age 39y 2m 29d.6,21  

In the same cemetery are buried Jesse's infant son Ulysses Jesse Hinshaw,6 brother Nathan Hinshaw,6,21 and Nathan's infant son.6  

After Jesse died, Sarah remarried to a John Page18 (apparently about 1873 to 1880).
