Shelton & Cecila Sisley Jones^4,6,9,17, was born Dec 15 1837^4,6,9,17 [about 1834¹⁰], Green County, Indiana^4,6,9,17 [Missouri¹¹].

During the Civil War, Elias served with the Union forces in Company A, 2nd Battalion, Missouri State Militia Cavalry,^17,20 serving from Mar 26 1862 to Dec 20 1862;²⁰ discharged Kansas City, Missouri.²⁰
