Mary Margaret Crownover
KINGWOOD - Mary Margaret Crownover, born Nov. 30, 1921 to Irvin and Grace Hinshaw in Checotah, Okla., died Jan. 6, 2009 in Porter. She graduated from Ada High School in Ada, Okla. She attended East Central College in Ada, Okla., receiving a BA in business education. She was a homemaker and a member of the Peace Makers Quilt Guild and the Blanchard Baptist Church of Livingston. Mrs. Crownover was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Jim W. Crownover; son, James Irvin Crownover; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Johnson and husband Lauren of Carbondale, Ill. and Cathy Wolf and husband Don of Kingwood; five grandchildren, Ehric Johnson, Terril Johnson and wife Abbie, Alicia Wolf, Leslee Morgan and husband Sean and Amy Mitchell and husband Keith and eight great-grandchildren, Noah, Elijah and Leah Johnson, Max, Miles and Maris Morgan and Maura and Ellie Mitchell. Graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, in Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, followed by a memorial service Friday, Jan. 9, at Kingwood Funeral Home Chapel, Kingwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Caring Hands Senior Care Home, Inc., P.O. Box 2974, Porter, TX 77365.
