FAIRVIEW HAS SAFETY PATROL ORGANIZATION
Patrol Was Given Instructions This Morning by Police Capt. Hinshaw
The Fairview school patrol has been organized and met this morning at the police station where Capt. R. V. Hinshaw gave them instructions in regard to their duties and issued them badges and belts. The badges are similar to the regular policeman's badge and belts are white bearing the words "safety patrol."
The patrol is composed of James Ayres, Dale Sylvester, Robert Thornton, Claude Akers, Floyd Bryant, Fred Farlee, Clovis Chitwood, Joe Chambers, Orval Brannon and Howard Ledgerwood.
The boys will be on duty at street intersections near the school building to guard the safety of the pupils on their way to and from school.

Estella's obituary was published as follows:12
Estella M. Hinshaw, 85, of Sheridan, RR3 passed away Monday morninig at Riverview Hospital. She had been a patient there since July ll.
Mrs. Hinshaw was born near Sheridan March 28, 1880 the daughter of George W. and Mary Burton Moore. She married R.V. Hinshaw who died in December of 1956.
The deceased graduated from Sheridan High School in 1898. She taught school for 37 years; 21 in Muncie City Schools and 16 in Hamilton and Delaware Counties. She retired in 1943. She and her husband moved to the farm near Sheridan in 1950. She was a member of the Friends Memorial Church of Muncie, a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star of Muncie, a past president of the Muncie Teachers Association, a member of the N.E.A., the I.S.T.A. and N.R.T.A., the Muncie Women's Club and the Sheridan Tourist Club.
Survivor's are two sons, Vernon Hinshaw of New York City and Frederik M. Hinshaw of Muncie; one daughter, Marguerite Hughes of Wilmington, North Carolina and nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
