James T. Hinshaw11 [Thomas Henshaw12, Tom Hinshaw2, James Thomas Henshaw5,6, Jim Tom Henshaw13].

Born Oct 26 1858, Paint Rock, Jackson County, Alabama.2,6,8,9,14,15  

He married Sarah Alice Roberts, Mar 27 1886, Jackson County, Alabama.11  

James married when young5 and lived in Memphis.5  He later moved to Alabama.5  

On Aug 2 1890 a James T. Hinshaw acquired 80.3 acres of land in Alabama via homestead (Huntsville land office).16  It is not known if this record refers to this James T. Henshaw, as there were several others with the same name (see: James T. Hinshaw #3476).  However it is known that this James T. Henshaw did indeed own 80 acres in Jackson County, Alabama.5  

Sarah died before Jun 1 1900.2

Widower James was shown in the 1910 census (Apr 18 1910), boarding in the house of Albert & Maymie Smith, Larkinsville, Jackson County, Alabama:17

Hinshaw, James T, boarder, age 51, born in Alabama; parents born in Alabama; widower; occupation: laborer, in timber.

He then married Fannie Elizabeth Cooper, Dec 18 1917, Alabama.5,9,13,14,18  

Fannie, daughter of George Allen Cooper & Fannie Elizabeth Rhodes, was born Nov 29 1892, Alabama.6,8,9,10,13,19,20  

James and family were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 14 1920), Long Island P.O., Jackson County, Alabama:8

James T. Hinshaw died Oct 18 1922, Bridgeport, Jackson County, Alabama; age 63.6,9,14,21  

After James died, Fannie remarried to a John Garring5 [John Garren],10 by whom she had a daughter, Edith Garring.5  Fannie was again widowed sometime before Apr 9 1930.10
