George was apprenticed in England at age 15.1
He married Ann Oldenburg2 [Ann Oldenberg1]. Ann, daughter of Lewis + Ann Oldenburg, was born Aug 15 1808, London, England.2,4,5,6,7
George traveled from England to Albion, Illinois, but then returned to England.1 In late 1844 George again emmigrated with his wife and children, departing from London and arriving at the port of New Orleans on January 7, 1845 on the ship "Espindola".7 The ship's passenger manifest recorded:7

Living next door in 1880 was the family of son Edward.10
After settling near Cincinnati, he opened "G. Henshaw & Sons" fine furniture dealership, which remained until closing during the Depression of the 1930s.1
George Henshaw died Feb 20 1881, College Hill, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio; buried Feb 23 1881, section 105, lot 47, Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio.2
