He married Mary Knight.¹  Mary, daughter of Richard Knight & Eliza Carter, was born Oct 22 1841, London, England.^{1,2,3,5,6,7,13}  Mary was from Cincinnati, Ohio.¹  

Edward was President of the Henshaw Furniture Company ("G. Henshaw & Sons"), the family business started by his father.¹  He was also Mayor of College Hill Village, on the north edge of what is today Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.¹
