Lewis E. Hinshaw, Jr., 88, was born in Hoosick Falls, NY, November 15, 1916. He went to be with the Lord December 5, 2004. He retired from Commerce Bank in 1981. In his younger years, he was active in Boy Scouts and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. Later in life, he had leadership roles in church music. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda J. Brown. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maxine Rowson Hinshaw, of the home; a son Lewis E. Hinshaw III and wife Gloria, of Baldwin City, KS; a son Douglas K. Hinshaw and wife Lynda, of Cave Creek, AZ; a daughter April D. Brown and husband Dennis, of Warsaw, MO; a daughter Kathryn M Kuesterman and husband Bob, of West Valley City, UT; seven grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. He loved his family and was a devoted husband and father. He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rejoicing that the cares of this world are no more. There will be a visitation at Charter Funerals, 77 NE 72nd St., Gladstone, MO, on Wednesday, December 8, from 2-4 p.m., and private graveside services. The family requests no flowers.
