Miller - Services for Hushal Sexton, 74 and his wife, Dixie Sexton, 67, both of Miller were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, in the Christian Church, Miller. Burial was in the Webb Cemetery under the direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher.
Mr. Sexton died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, November 16, at his lake home at Cape Fair in Stone County after suffering an apparent heart attack. Mrs. Sexton died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, November 16 in the coupleís lake front home after also suffering an apparent heart attack.
The couple died on their 45th wedding anniversary, according to a funeral home spokesman.
Mr. Sexton was born May 30, 1911, in Lawrence County, and was a lifelong resident of the Miller area. He was a disabled Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Miller Christian Church. He married Dixie Rose Henshaw in 1940 [November 16].
Mrs. Sexton was born Feb. 28, 1918 in Lawrence County and was a lifelong resident of the Miller area. She had been employed at the Recorder of Deeds office in the Lawrence County Courthouse for about 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of Miller Christian Church.
Mr. Sextonís survivors include two sons, Terry Sexton of Ozark and Dewayne Sexton of Madras, Ore.; a daughter Tacy Woodrow of Sarcoxie; a foster daughter, Beatrice Van Dietch of Miami, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
