She married Hushal Sexton1,2 [Eulas Hushal Sexton5], Nov 16 19401,2.  Hushal, son of James Sexton & Delma Hudspeth1,6,7, was born May 30 19111,6,7 [May 31 19112], Lawrence County, Missouri1,6,7.  This was Hushal's second marriage.8,9

Hushal died Nov 16 1985, at his home, Cape Fair, Stone County, Missouri; buried Webb Cemetery, near Miller, Lawrence County, Missouri.1,2  

Dixie Rose Hinshaw died Nov 16 1985, at her home, Cape Fair, Stone County, Missouri; buried Webb Cemetery, near Miller, Lawrence County, Missouri.1,2  

Dixie and Hushel died within minutes of each other, each of an apparent heart attack.  Their joint obituary was published on Thursday, November 21, 1985 in the "Lawrence County Record" (Lawrence County, Missouri):1

Miller - Services for Hushal Sexton, 74 and his wife, Dixie Sexton, 67, both of Miller were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, in the Christian Church, Miller.  Burial was in the Webb Cemetery under the direction of Morris-Leiman-Mosher.  

Mr. Sexton died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, November 16, at his lake home at Cape Fair in Stone County after suffering an apparent heart attack.  Mrs. Sexton died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday, November 16 in the couple’s lake front home after also suffering an apparent heart attack.  

The couple died on their 45th wedding anniversary, according to a funeral home spokesman.  

Mr. Sexton was born May 30, 1911, in Lawrence County, and was a lifelong resident of the Miller area.  He was a disabled Army veteran of World War II.  He was a member of the Miller Christian Church.  He married Dixie Rose Henshaw in 1940 [November 16].  

Mrs. Sexton was born Feb. 28, 1918 in Lawrence County and was a lifelong resident of the Miller area.  She had been employed at the Recorder of Deeds office in the Lawrence County Courthouse for about 30 years until her retirement.  She was a member of Miller Christian Church.  

Mr. Sexton’s survivors include two sons, Terry Sexton of Ozark and Dewayne Sexton of Madras, Ore.; a daughter Tacy Woodrow of Sarcoxie; a foster daughter, Beatrice Van Dietch of Miami, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Vernon; three stepsisters, Ruby West of Miller, Alta Choate of Mt. Vernon and Pansy Bingham of Mt. Vernon; her stepmother, Fern Hinshaw of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren.
