RANDLEMAN -- Heaven welcomed an extraordinary angel on February 10, 2013 David Holt Hinshaw, Jr. He was greeted by his father, David Holt Hinshaw, Sr. as well as his grandparents, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Holt was born October 17, 1942 in Randolph County and a member of New Salem United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War as an M.P. Holt worked at WF Fancourt Co. as Director of Mfg. for 30 years and also at IndusCo Ltd. He loved his family without end and was a great leader and rock for them. He was a classic! The perfect Daddy, Paw Paw and man. Holt loved to fix up old cars, refinish furniture, go to rod runs and car shows.
He is survived by his mother, Isabelle Ward Hinshaw; son, David Holt Hinshaw, III; daughter: Misty Hinshaw and Brian Ramm and almost son Stephen Springs; grandchildren: Gray and Carly who were the apple of his eye and he just couldn't get enough of. He also loved his newest "grandchildren" Haven and Holly. Adam Kennington was "his boy". He loved him like a son and called him such. Aunt Vonn Ward; a very special friend Barbara Craven and his precious dog Kracker. We will all miss him so much.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 3 p.m. at New Salem United Methodist Church, 623 New Salem Rd., Randleman with Pastor Joyce Bunn officiating. After the service he will be driven through Randleman in his 1959 Chevy truck he was working on. Please bring your old car and join us in his farewell procession. Burial will then follow in the church cemetery with the Randolph County Honor Guard providing military honors.
