HINSHAW - On the 12th of the 11th of 1886, Stephen Edgar, oldest son of Jacob L. & Lydia M. Hinshaw in the 11th year of his age, a member of the Rose Hill Monthly Meeting of Friends, Butler County, Kan. This dear child has left to his sorrowing relatives and friends abundant ... [unclear] ... He was a lover of the Sabbath School. His voice was frequently heard in prayer, around the family alter. During his sickness he called for the Bible and turned to the 17th of St. John and requested that it should be read. Now dear readers turn to this chapter and read.
