NELSON G. HENSHAW Nelson Gene Henshaw, 55, of Church Road, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at his residence. He was born in Chesterfield and was the son of the late Mark Luther and Elsie Mae Aliff Henshaw.
He was a building contractor and a member and deacon of West End Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Scott Henshaw; a daughter, Terri Mae Henshaw of Colonial Heights; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Scott and Meredith G. Henshaw; two grandchildren, Shannon Scott Henshaw and Trent Gibson Henshaw, all of Church Road; seven brothers, Linwood Henshaw of Church Road, Gilbert Henshaw of Roanoke, Horace Henshaw, David Henshaw, Phillip Henshaw, Raymond Henshaw and Donald Henshaw, all of Church Road; four sisters, Lorraine Horning of Petersburg, Juanita Turner of Church Road, Gloria Heath of Locust Grove, Va., and Carolyn Henshaw of Charlottesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Don Campbell, pastor of West End Baptist Church, and the Rev. John Crocker, associate pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
