He then married Pansy Skidmore, Jan 25 1913, Kanawha County, West Virginia.^1,11,12  Pansy was born May - 1885.¹¹  

Pansy died Jan 23 1915, Kanawha County, West Virginia; age 29.^11,13  Medical: Pansy died from "consumption" (tuberculosis).^11,13  

He then married Ida May Kelley¹ [Ida Mae Kelley⁶], Jan 1 1915¹, Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia¹.  (Jan 30 1915).¹⁴  Ida, daughter of James M. Kelley & Levisa Ann Lanham, was born Sep 2 1894, West Virginia.^1,2,4,6,15  

On Sep 12 1918 Otto M. Hanshaw, age 33, registered for the World War I draft in Kanawha County, West Virginia.  He declared he was born 1-8-1886, and was then residing at/near Sta[tion] A, Cha[rleston], Kanawha County, West Virginia, a self-employed machinist.  He declared his nearest relative was Opel Hanshaw of Charleston.  He was recorded as tall, stout, brown eyes, black hair.⁹

Otto Michael Hanshaw died Jun 24 1934, Mason County, West Virginia.¹  (Jul - 1934).¹⁶  

Otto was murdered.¹⁶  The following article was published in "The Charleston Daily Mail" (Charleston, West Virginia) on Sunday morning, January 20, 1935:¹⁶

Russell Parsons, 16 years old, of Arbuckle district, went on trial for the murder of O. M. Hanshaw last July.  Thursday was Parsons' birthday.   Parsons and a neighbor boy became involved in a quarrel, the shooting following the dispute.

In 1992 Ida was living in Scott Depot, Putnam County, West Virginia.¹⁵  

Ida died May 19 1992.^6,15
