Born Feb 18 1868, Grayson County, Texas.3,4,5  (c1867).6  

Born Benjamin Smith Hinchee, Jr., he changed his name to William Benjamin Smith Hinchee.5  

He married Lizzie A. Chidester5 [Eliza A. Chidester1], May 6 18885, Jack County, Texas5.  Lizzie, daughter of Thomas B. Chidester & Amanda J. Brummett, was born Feb - 1873, Texas.1,2  

William Benjamin disappeared at age 28.5  His sister Laura Hinchee said he was robbed of a nearly new wagon and was killed.  His brother, Jonah, said Ben Jr. deserted his wife and children.5  Nothing more is known of him.  

Lizzie remarried to a -- Chancy.  Lizzie and family were shown in the 1900 census (Jun 12 1900), Henrietta, Clay County, Texas:2

Chancy, Lizie, head-of-household, age 27, born Feb 1873 in Texas; parents born in Arkansas; widow; 5 children, 3 living; occupation: laundress; rented home.
Chancy, Minnie, daughter, age 11, born May 1889 in Indian Territory; parents born in Texas; attended school.
Chancy, Jonie H., son, age 9, born Mch 1891 in Texas; parents born in Texas; attended school.
Chancy, William, son, age 6, born Sept 1893 in Texas; father born in Tennessee; mother born in Texas.
Chidister, James, brother, age 24, born May 1876 in Texas; parents born in Arkansas; occupation: day laborer.
