Mrs. J.A. Rose
Haskell - Mrs. J.A. (Willie) Rose, 92, of Haskell died at 1:15 a.m. Friday in a local nursing home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ.
Larry Suttle, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Home.
Born Oct. 13, 1886, in Bell Falls, she moved to Haskell County in 1905, settling in the Rose community about seven miles east of here. She married J.A. (Jim) Rose May 31, 1903, in Bell Falls. She was a member of Church of Christ.
Mr. Rose died June 10, 1967
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. C.L. (Gertrude) Pinkerton of Austin, Mrs. James (Winnie) Bland of Dallas and Mrs. J.C. (Dorothy) Halliburton of Rochester; two sons, Charles of San Angelo and Eugene of Rochester; three sisters, Bessie Piland and Georgia Moore, both of Haskell, and Callie Scheets of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Hoie Harrell, J.L. Cameron, Roy Medford, Glenn Merchant, Buford Gholson and Robert Speer.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Halliburton in Rochester.
