Haviland -- Beth Hinshaw, 87, died March 30, 2014 at Hilltop Manor, Cunningham, Kansas, She was born July 1, 1926 in Haviland, Kansas the daughter of C.V. and Beatrice (Bevan) Wagner.
She was a homemaker and taught piano lessons from her home. She earned a degree in Music from Friends University. Beth had lived in Haviland, Alva and Seiling, Oklahoma, Independence, Emporia Hopewell, and Beaver, Kansas and Alba, Missouri. She was a member of the Haviland Friends Church.
On December 20, 1947 Beth married Veryl Hinshaw in Haviland. He survives.
Other survivors include a son Gary Hinshaw and wife Kelley, Overland Park, Kansas, a daughter Donita Hinshaw, Pratt, three grandchildren Matt Hinshaw and wife Kristen, Lawrence, Kansas, Jenna Hinshaw, Manhattan, Kansas, and Kara Hinshaw, Overland Park, and a sister Ardeth Hawthorne, Wichita.
Graveside services and celebration of Beth’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the Haviland Cemetery with Pastor Mike Neifert officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Friends University Music Department in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054
