Pastor Kenneth H. Hinshaw Pastor Kenneth H. Hinshaw, age 75, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 17, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born on September 24, 1933, in Rose Hill, Kansas, to the late Curtis and Imogene Hinshaw. Ken was a graduate of Haviland High School in Haviland, KS, Greenville College in Greenville, IL and Nazarene Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He was a Pastor in the Friends Church for 50 years, serving in 6 different states, and most recently at the First Friends Church in Canton. Ken loved to shepherd the flock and lived to serve others. He enjoyed music and was a pianist and organist all of his life. Ken was a devoted family man and truly loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his compassion, mercy and sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Hinshaw. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Wilma Hinshaw; two sons, Pastor Stan (Betsy) Hinshaw of North Canton and Scott (Lucie) Hinshaw of Canton; three grandchildren, Kelli, Danny and Chris; one brother, Veryl (Beth) Hinshaw of Haviland, KS; and one sister, Arleta Humbolt of Garden City, KS. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 21, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave. N., Canton, OH 44714, with Dr. John Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W., North Canton, OH 44720, and for one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. in the church on Friday.
