Born Oct 9 1887, Galena, Cherokee County, Kansas.1,2,3,4  

She married Verlin Luther Pemberton, Mar 19 1914, Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California.1,2  Verlin, son of Cyrus Lemuel Pemberton & Sarah M. Lawrence, was born Mar 21 1891, Galena, Cherokee County, Kansas.1,5  Sara and Verlin were fifth cousins.1  

Sara and Verlin were married in a Quaker wedding.  They tried farming in California, but moved back to Iowa to begin farming with Verlin's brother Lindley.  They finally bought a farm 2 miles east of West Branch, but lost it during the Depression in 1933.  In 1934 they moved 1/2 mile to the west.  They retired in Phoenix, Arizona.1  

Sara Margaret Hinshaw died Sep 19 1967, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.1  

Verlin died Aug 28 1977, Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.1,5
