Ralph's obituary appeared in the Chronicle Herald, October 22, 1999, as follows:2

HENSHAW, Ralph Manning - 46, Prince St., Hantsport, died October 20, 1999, at home.  Born in Wolfville, he was a son of Richard and Freda (Spencer) Henshaw, Lockhartville.  He had resided in the Hantsport area all of his life and had been employed for 24 years with Minas Basin Pulp and Power Ltd.  He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball.  He is survived by his wife, the former Gail (Norton); son, Shawn Lower Wolfville; daughters, Trudy Henshaw (Jeff Curran), Port Williams; Heidi, Halifax; brothers, David (Jeannie) Windsor; Ronald (Cindy), Moncton, New Brunswick; Darrell (Charlotte) Wellington, Ont.; sisters, Irene (Eugene) Caldwell Lockhartville; Donna (Gary Weagle), Lockhartville; Margaret (Rod Parr), New Minas; Sherry (Mark Smith), Windsor; grandson, Alex.  No visitation.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held Monday, October 25, at 2 p.m. in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Wolfville, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating.  Burial in the Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville.  Family flowers only by request.  Donations to the Canadian Red Cross, Hants County VON or Home Care Nova Scotia.
