In 1898 Harry emmigrated from Canada to the U.S., settling in Massachusetts.2
He married Mary Jane Walker2,6,7 [Mary Jane Morehouse1], about 19072,6,7. Mary, daughter of Allen Walker & Margaret Ross, was born Sep 2 1885, Canada.1,6 (Sep 2 1888).8 (c1890).2
On Sep 12 1918 Harry Forbes Hanshaw, age 41, registered for the World War I draft in Peabody, Essex County, Massachusetts. He declared he was born Mar 27 1877 in Canada, and he was then residing at 47 Holten [unclear] St., Peabody, Massachusetts. He declared his nearest relative was Mrs. Mary Hanshaw of the same address. He was recorded as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, brown hair.3
