He married Aurelia Olive Shoemaker^2,3,4,5,6,9 [Oralia Shoemaker¹⁰, Orelia Shoemaker^11,12, Rilla Shoemaker¹], about 1876^2,3,4,5,6,9.  Aurelia, daughter of Joshua Shoemaker & Artemisia/Artemissia Maulding, was born Nov - 1856, McLeansboro, Hamilton County, Illinois.^{1,2,4,5,6,9,10,11,12}

Also buried in Riverview Cemetery is an infant Erma E. Henshaw, born 1887, died 1888,⁹ who is probably an additional child of this family.¹⁶
