Born about 1836, Pennsylvania.1,2  (Mt. Chestnut, Butler County, Pennsylvania).3,4  

She married John Ralston.4,5  John, son of William Ralston & Mary J. Sharp, was born about 1835, Mt. Chestnut, Butler County, Pennsylvania.2,4,6,7

Anna Lena Ralston, born May 4 1859; died Sep 25 1942; married 1) Elmer L. Albert, 2) William G. Biehl, 3) Fred A. Maurer. 9
Mary Elizabeth Ralston, born Oct 13 1864; died Nov 12 1947; married Matthew W. Shannon, Jr.
William Abraham Ralston, born Jan 1 1861; died Aug 7 1951; married Margaret Dick.

This family lived in western Pennsylvania (probably Butler County).5  

Mary Ann and family were shown in the 1860 census (Jun 15 1860), Butler Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania:2

John Ralston, age 26, born in Pennsylvania; mill wright; $238 personal property.
Mary A. Ralston, age 23, born in Pennsylvania.
James P. Ralston, age 4, born in Pennsylvania.
Amalina [sic] Ralston, age 2, born in Pennsylvania.
Living next door in 1860 was the family of William Ralston, age 59, and his wife Mary, age 5110 (probably John's parents).11  Also living nearby in 1860 was the family of David Henshaw.12  

John died 1885, Butler County, Pennsylvania.6  

Mary Ann Henshaw died Aug 12 1917, New Castle, Pennsylvania.6  

Mary's death notice was published in the "Butler County Citizen" (Pennsylvania) on Monday, August 13, 1917 (page 2), as follows:6

Mrs. Mary Ralston
Mrs. Mary Ralston, widow of the late John Ralston, died Sunday at New Castle and will be buried Tuesday afternoon following services at the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian church.  She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ellen Addinger, of Chicora, and one daughter.
